January 2005 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI's growth forecasts for Thailand for 2004 and 2005 remain unchanged at 6.2% and 6.3% respectively. The economic impact of the tsunami that killed approximately 6,000 people in Thailand on December 26 is likely to be marginal, although the final impact will depend on how quickly the tourism sector recovers from the disaster.
