January 2005 | Macroeconomic ForecastsCambodia's economy is expected to struggle in 2005, following the January 1 expiry of the Multi-Fibre Arrangement (MFA). Under the system, Cambodia and other poor countries were guaranteed a certain share of the US and EU textile market. BMI is forecasting that growth in Cambodia will fall to 2.5% in 2005, which is in line with the IMF and the Asian Development Bank, which expect growth of 1.9% and 2.3%
