June 2006 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Renewed violence could push up inflation and interest rates while impacting economic growth. If civil war resumes it could possibly shave up to another two percentage points off annual growth in the next few years. We believe growth in 2006-07 will remain arrested at 5.5-5.8%.
