Relations between India and Bangladesh are worsening amid a rising number of fatal incidents on their porous 4,000km border. Normally friendly ties have been marred in recent months as both sides accuse each other of harbouring rebels and criminals, with the gunbattle claiming casualties from both sides. Despite reconciliatory meetings between the two forces, India's construction of a fence along the frontier to end trespassing is further souring relations, with Dhaka objecting to a barrier so close to the zero
