FTA Talks Launched, But Obstacles Remain
June 2006 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: Official talks have begun on a long-mooted free trade agreement (FTA) between South Korea and the US, which would facilitate further expansion of bilateral trade. While both sides have agreed to conclude the procedures by July 2007, the talks are likely to be somewhat turbulent, and there are still a number of significant hurdles that must be overcome.
