Our growth forecast for 2005 is 6.7%. The economy is, however, expected to slow in 2006, when we forecast the economy will expand by 5.0%. Growth is holding up much better in Hong Kong than elsewhere in the region. This is mainly because of its close integration to the Chinese mainland economy, which has continued to enjoy strong growth this year.
