Macroeconomic Forecast Taiwan

We have cut our growth forecast for 2005 to 3.4% from 3.6%. The cut was made after the economy grew by just 3.0% in the second quarter, which, although up from the first quarter, was still below our forecast. Our forecast implies that growth will average just over 4.0% in the second half of the year.
