A parliamentary boycott by South Korea's main opposition party, the Grand National Party (GNP), has stalled passage of four key reform bills. The GNP walked out of parliament on October 28 in protest against Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan's allegations that the party had received 'truck loads' of illegal funding. The stalled legislation includes bills to scrap the anti-communist National Security Law and to conduct an investigation into collaboration during Japan's colonial rule of the peninsular.
