May 2012 | Ratings UpdateIndonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's special economic advisory team has asked the government to immediately issue a decree that will help implement a new land acquisition law that is aimed at improving infrastructure in the country. However, the National Economic Council (KEN) said that it requires more regulations, including a decree on land clearance, to stipulate the mechanisms for investment. The decree, along with other recommendations, by KEN is aimed at helping the government achieve an average 7% economic growth by 2014. The recommendations are also aimed at enabling the government to tackle poverty and lower the jobless rate to 6% by 2014.
