Diversification By Chinese Companies Into Indonesia A Growing Trend

BMI View : Three state-owned Chinese companies have expressed interest in making large scale investment amounting to around US$3bn so as to construct a number of infrastructure projects in East Java, which includes ports, toll roads and railway lines. We note that this diversification into Indonesia's promising market could be a recurring trend among Chinese construction companies looking to maintain margins amidst a slowing domestic market.
